Pakistan and China have signed important agreements and memorandums of understanding aimed at expanding practical cooperation in construction machinery, livestock health and medical technology.
President Asif Ali Zardari attended the signing ceremony, where a short documentary marking 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship was also screened.
During the ceremony, Pakistani and Chinese organisations signed one Joint Venture Agreement and two memorandums of understanding.
The engagements are designed to strengthen cooperation in key development sectors and support long-term institutional partnerships between the two countries.
MoU for construction machinery, high-end equipment
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Al Hassan Trade Establishment, Sany International Development and Hainan Jiaolong International Technology. The MoU focuses on cooperation in high-end equipment, manufacturing and construction machinery.
Under the trilateral collaboration, the parties will work to support projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in the supply of complete construction machinery and equipment needed for CPEC-related work.

It also includes the development of a professional talent training system, along with after-sales operation and maintenance services.
The parties will also review investment opportunities for setting up factories in Pakistan and promoting localised production of construction machinery.
The MoU was signed by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Sany Group Vice President Li Qin, and Hainan Jiaolong International Trade Company Chairman Hao Jiaolong.
JV for animal vaccines in Pakistan
A Joint Venture Agreement was also signed between the Livestock & Fisheries Department, Government of Sindh, and Luoyang Modern Biology Group, China.
The agreement covers the distribution and supply of animal vaccines in Pakistan, including Foot-and-Mouth Disease vaccines. It also provides for the exchange of technology between the two sides.
The joint venture includes a clause for future cooperation on introducing track and traceability systems for animals in Pakistan.
Officials said the cooperation would help improve animal health management and strengthen livestock-related systems in the country.
The agreement was signed by Senior Provincial Minister Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon and Luoyang Modern Biology Group Chairman Wang Shanpu.
MoU signed for intelligent robots
Another memorandum of understanding was signed between Dr Ziauddin Hospital and Shenzhen Weibang Technology. The MoU aims to develop a cooperation model based on “product + service + solution” in the field of medical technology.
The understanding focuses on the innovative use of medical intelligent robots in clinical medicine.
The medical technology partnership is aimed at supporting the development of Pakistan’s medical and health system. The MoU was signed by Dr Anoop Kumar Dawani from Dr Ziauddin Hospital and Shenzhen Weibang Technology Deputy General Manager Deng Haitao.
Documentary on Pakistan-China friendship
On the occasion, a short documentary tracing 75 years of friendship between Pakistan and China was screened.
The ceremony highlighted the continued strategic and development partnership between the two countries, with a focus on expanding cooperation in practical sectors.
