Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said on Thursday that the Afghan forces carried out unprovoked firing and shelling in border areas, including Angoor Adda in South Waziristan.
In his weekly briefing, he said incidents of firing on April 26 and 29 left several civilians injured and caused damage to a number of houses.
Tribal elders and local residents condemned the firing and shelling from Afghanistan and demanded an immediate halt to such actions.
The MoFA spokesperson said Pakistan strongly condemned the attacks and expressed sympathy and solidarity with the affected families.
He said all possible measures were being taken to assist the victims.
Efforts were under way to ensure the protection of the local population and to prevent such incidents in future.
