The Federal Public Service Commission has announced the final results of the CSS Competitive Examination 2025, with the outcome once again highlighting the highly competitive nature of the exam.
According to the FPSC, 12,792 candidates appeared in the examination, but only 355 passed the written stage, making the written pass percentage 2.77%.
The FPSC said the CSS 2025 exam had a low success rate due to its highly competitive nature. Out of the total candidates who appeared, only 355 cleared the written portion.
The figures show that fewer than three candidates out of every 100 managed to pass the written stage.
170 candidates recommended for allocation
According to the commission, 170 candidates have been recommended for allocation to different occupational groups.
These allocations have been made under the available vacancies and quota system. The recommended candidates include 84 male and 86 female candidates.
The FPSC announced the top three position holders of CSS 2025. Usaid Rafique secured the first position in the examination. Muhammad Mohsin Khalid stood second, while Tariq Hafeez secured third position.
Top 30 allocated to PAS and PSP
The commission said the top 30 position holders have been allocated to the Pakistan Administrative Service and the Police Service of Pakistan. According to the FPSC, none of the top 30 candidates were allocated to the Foreign Service.
The allocations reflect the available vacancies, merit order and quota system.
The FPSC also released a provincial breakdown of the top 30 position holders. According to the details, 23 of the top 30 candidates belong to Punjab.
Two candidates each are from Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while three candidates are from Balochistan.
