German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has praised Iranian negotiators, saying they are conducting talks with considerable skill.
In a statement, he said it is not clear what strategy the United States is adopting to exit the current situation.
He added that Iranian negotiators are engaging in discussions with notable competence, while Iran’s so-called Revolutionary Guards are bringing disgrace to the nation.
Friedrich Merz stated that Iranians are clearly stronger than commonly perceived, and noted that mines have been partially laid in the Strait of Hormuz.
