Behind-the-scenes diplomatic efforts are continuing for a possible agreement between Iran and the United States, according to CNN, as both sides consider a phased approach to move negotiations forward.
The reported strategy includes addressing immediate security and maritime issues first, while Iran has proposed postponing nuclear talks until a ceasefire is reached.
According to US media, diplomatic efforts include a strategy of moving forward in stages. A key proposal in the first phase of any possible deal is to open the Strait of Hormuz without charging fees.
The Strait of Hormuz has remained a central issue in the conflict, with maritime security, oil shipments and regional tensions shaping the direction of negotiations.

Iran has proposed that discussions on its nuclear program be postponed until a ceasefire is in place. Tehran’s position suggests that it wants the immediate focus to remain on ending hostilities and resolving maritime disputes before moving to nuclear issues.
