United States President Donald Trump has said that the war with Iran will end soon and that his country will prevail.
In an interview with Fox News, the American president said that if Iran wished to engage in talks, it could contact them. He added that further consultations would now take place over the telephone.
Trump said that some Iranian negotiators were sensible while others were not, expressing hope that Iran would act wisely. He added that Iran’s nuclear issue would be included in the negotiations.
The US president said that the Pakistan’s Field Marshal and prime minister were “excellent” and worthy of respect. Referring to the Pakistan-India conflict, he said that 11 aircraft had been shot down.
Commenting on the Washington shooting incident, Trump said that the attacker’s family had been aware that he was facing difficulties. He said that upon reading the attacker’s manifesto, it appeared he was a disturbed individual, adding that the assailant had been stopped promptly.
