Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said enemies were seeking to target infrastructure in order to undermine public morale.
In a message to the public, he said efforts must be made to prevent the spread of dissatisfaction. He said that at present there was no need for sacrifice, but a reduction in electricity consumption was required.
He urged citizens to use energy and resources with caution.
Pezeshkian said households should use two bulbs instead of ten, and called for public morale to be maintained despite external pressure.
