Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Jeddah on Friday, with the Ukrainian leader terming the meeting as “very productive”.
According to the media reports, Zelenskyy expressed appreciation for the constructive cooperation with Saudi Arabia. He said a strategic security arrangement was under development across three areas, including the export of Ukrainian security expertise and capabilities in air defence, energy cooperation, and food security.
“We are working together to strengthen our peoples and our partners,” Zelenskyy wrote in a post on X.
On his arrival, he said: “Yesterday, at a meeting with European leaders, we secured financial guarantees for our resilience. Today, we are advancing our agreements with Saudi Arabia in the areas of security, energy, and infrastructure.”
