Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Thursday that instability in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz stemmed from American and Israeli aggression.
The remarks came during a meeting with South Korea’s special envoy, in which Araghchi briefed the visiting official on what he described as crimes committed by the United States and Israeli governments against Iran. Speaking on the occasion, he urged other countries to condemn American and Israeli attacks in clear terms.
The Iranian foreign minister said Iran was acting under international law to defend its security and national interests.
He added that responsibility for the consequences of these actions rested with the aggressor powers.
