As anticipation builds for the next iPhone launch, early details about the iPhone 18 Pro are already creating buzz.
Among the biggest talking points? A new color lineup—led by a standout shade that fans are quickly embracing.
The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to arrive with a refined set of color options.
According to early reports, Apple is replacing the Cosmic Orange shade seen on the iPhone 17 Pro with a more subtle and elegant tone.
A silver variant is also reportedly under consideration, adding to the premium feel of the lineup.
Dark cherry emerges as clear favourite
A recent poll highlights a clear winner among the new color choices.
Around 48.5 percent of respondents selected Dark Cherry—a refined mix of red and maroon that offers a soft yet eye-catching look.
Dark Gray, which resembles the black option many users missed in the previous generation, secured nearly 20 percent of the vote.
Meanwhile, Light Blue attracted 16 percent support, while just over 4 percent preferred the silver option.
Interestingly, about 11 percent of users said none of the new colors appealed to them.
Shift in Apple’s colour strategy
Apple has recently leaned into more vibrant and distinctive finishes across its products.
Dark Cherry joins a growing list of unique shades such as Desert Titanium, Ultramarine, and Cosmic Orange.
The trend also extends beyond iPhones, with devices like the MacBook Neo featuring bold colors like Citrus.
For some users, the lack of a true black option remains noticeable.
The Dark Gray variant attempts to fill that gap, but it hasn’t matched the popularity of the new Dark Cherry tone.
