King Charles III has issued a significant update through Buckingham Palace ahead of a royal family gathering to mark a special commemorative event.
Buckingham Palace released a still image from an upcoming address by the monarch, which will be published on what would have been the 100th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.
In the released image, King Charles appears visibly emotional as he reflects on the life and service of his late mother. The speech was recorded at Balmoral Castle, a residence closely associated with the late Queen.
The King is seen standing inside the castle’s library, dressed in a grey suit paired with a matching tie, as he delivers the heartfelt message.
According to reports, the full video message will be released on April 21 to mark the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth.
Additional commemorative events are also planned, including a visit by King Charles and Queen Camilla, along with other senior royals, to the Queen Elizabeth Memorial at the British Museum.
Later in the day, a reception is expected to be held at Buckingham Palace, which will likely be attended by Prince William and Princess Kate as part of the remembrance proceedings.
