A growing campaign against the Taliban regime and its leader, Mullah Hibatullah, has begun to gather momentum among Afghan citizens.
Frustration over the regime’s economic policies has led one Afghan citizen to appeal for assistance from Pakistan’s military leadership. In Nangarhar, an Afghan citizen issued a message of affection addressed to the Field Marshal outside the Taliban Corps Headquarters. Expressing strong regard for Pakistan’s military leadership, he stated that poverty and unemployment have driven people in Afghanistan to the brink of suicide.
In his message, the citizen urged Field Marshal Asim Munir to free them from what he described as the oppression of Hibatullah, whom he accused of acting as an instrument of India.
