The head of Iran's parliamentary National Security Committee, Ebrahim Azizi has said that Tehran has set out its red lines but will continue negotiations.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Azizi said negotiations do not mean Iran will engage in dialogue at any cost. He said the country has clearly defined its limits and these must be respected. He added that participation in the Islamabad Talks depends on the conduct of the American negotiating team and the delivery of positive signals.
He said that a ceasefire in Lebanon and the restoration of frozen assets are among the fundamental conditions. He warned that if the United States and Israel do not respect these terms, there will be consequences.
Azizi added that failure to honour previous commitments would indicate that Iran’s conditions have not been accepted.
