Russia has once again offered assistance in the transfer of enriched nuclear material from Iran.
The head of Russia’s state nuclear energy agency Rosatom said that technical issues, together with a lack of trust between the United States and Iran, remain the principal obstacles. He added that Russia has a positive record of cooperation with Iran in the nuclear field.
He recalled that in 2015 Russia assisted in the transfer of enriched uranium and stated that it remains prepared to play a similar role if required.
