United States President Donald Trump has reacted to Iran’s announcement regarding the reopening of a key maritime passage.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Iran has just announced that the strait of Iran is fully open and ready for full passage. Thank you!”
Earlier, Iran announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for commercial vessels in the context of the ceasefire in Lebanon.
In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Rep. of Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a statement issued on social media platform X, said the Strait of Hormuz had been opened to all commercial shipping and would remain fully operational for the duration of the remaining ceasefire period.
