Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif began his official visit to Türkiye with a key diplomatic meeting. He was warmly received by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan upon arrival.
Prime Minister Sharif was met by Hakan Fidan in Antalya following his arrival in Türkiye earlier in the day. The meeting marked the start of his official engagements during the visit.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi were also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, Fidan extended a warm welcome to the Pakistani prime minister and thanked him for participating in the upcoming Antalya Diplomacy Forum. He also conveyed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is looking forward to meeting Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the forum.

PM expresses gratitude
The PM thanked the Turkish foreign minister for the warm reception and traditional hospitality. He described Türkiye as his “second home” and expressed pleasure at visiting the country once again.

He also said he was delighted to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, a key international platform for dialogue and cooperation. He also expressed eagerness to meet President Erdoğan during the event, highlighting the importance of Pakistan-Türkiye relations.
Strengthening bilateral relations
The meeting reflected the close and friendly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to continued engagement at the highest level.
The visit is expected to further strengthen diplomatic cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries.
