Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong in Karachi, where discussions were held on bilateral cooperation, facilitation of Chinese investors, and security-related matters.
During the meeting, the interior minister assured that issues faced by Chinese businessmen in Pakistan would be resolved on a priority basis. He said that a conference would soon be held in Islamabad to address concerns of Chinese investors and further improve the business environment.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that Chinese investors are playing an important role in Pakistan’s economic development and that the government aims to encourage greater investment from China.
The Chinese Consul General expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements provided for Chinese nationals and ongoing projects in the country.
Separately, the interior minister also met the Chief Minister of Sindh, where they discussed law and order in the province as well as regional security developments amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
