Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Kuwait's foreign minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, during which Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to continue efforts for peace.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating the Islamabad talks. He also commended Ishaq Dar’s efforts in this regard.
Ishaq Dar stated that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only workable path to resolve issues. Both leaders agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations and maintain close contact.
In a separate telephone conversation, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with the European Union (EU) vice president. The two leaders discussed the regional situation and the Islamabad talks.
Ishaq Dar briefed the EU vice president on the progress of the Islamabad talks. The EU vice president appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in the US-Iran dialogue.
Both sides stressed the need for continued dialogue and diplomacy for the resolution of disputes. They agreed to remain in close contact on matters of mutual interest.
