Pakistan is ramping up its diplomatic role in the Middle East as tensions between Iran and the United States persist, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif planning key consultations and a possible visit to Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan’s role as a mediator has gained renewed importance following the fragile ceasefire between Iran and the United States.
Diplomatic activity has intensified once again, with Islamabad maintaining active engagement to keep communication channels open between the two sides.
Sources say Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is likely to visit Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. If confirmed, this will mark his second visit in less than a month, highlighting the urgency of regional developments.
The government has not yet released official details of the visit.

During the visit, the prime minister is expected to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The meeting is likely to focus on regional diplomacy, peace efforts, and the evolving Iran-US situation.
