Lahore’s weather is set to take another turn, with an unusual rise in temperature expected during the current week.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a sharp increase in the city’s temperature, with readings likely to range between 33°C and 39°C.
Officials said the rise in temperature could lead to extremely hot conditions across Lahore.
Hot and dry weather expected Karachi
Separately, hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in Karachi. The PMD said sea breezes in the city are likely to remain suspended.
The minimum temperature recorded today was 23.3 degrees Celsius. Humidity in the air was recorded at 56 per cent, according to the Met Office.
The maximum temperature is likely to reach up to 38 degrees Celsius. Winds are blowing from the north-east at a speed of four kilometres per hour. No rainfall is expected in the city until next week, the department added.
