Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan has said the country is hosting crucial talks aimed at ending what he called an “illegal war” against Iran. His remarks come as high-stakes negotiations unfold in the capital.
Reza Amiri Moqadam stated that Pakistan has stepped forward to host efforts to stop the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
In a message shared on social media, he said Islamabad is playing a vital role by offering its “good offices” to facilitate dialogue and peace.

Moqadam warned that the ongoing war has endangered not just Iran but also the broader region and the world.
According to him, the conflict poses serious threats to regional stability and international security, making diplomatic efforts even more critical.
The ambassador also raised concerns about whether the United States would respect Pakistan’s mediation efforts. “It remains to be seen whether the US honors the sincere mediation of the host,” he said, leaving the outcome of the talks uncertain.
