A day after a hike, the price of gold in Pakistan and the global market witnessed a drop on Saturday, while silver saw a hike.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs700, bringing the new rate to Rs496,962, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs600, settling at Rs426,064. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs550 to be sold for Rs390,572.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by just $7, reaching $4,746 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices, however, did not follow the same trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola hiked by Rs50 to be sold for Rs8,064. Similarly, 10 grams of silver also increased to be sold for Rs6,913.
