A day after a massive jump, the price of gold in Pakistan and the global market witnessed a major drop on Thursday.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs9,500, bringing the new rate to Rs494,662, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs8,145, settling at Rs424,092. Also, the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs7,466 to be sold for Rs388,765.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $95, reaching $4,723 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the same trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola fell by Rs300 to be sold for Rs7,884. Similarly, 10 grams of silver also declined to be sold for Rs6,759.
