Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized once again the importance of pursuing a diplomatic path to resolve ongoing tensions.
He expressed concern over reports of ceasefire violations at certain locations in the conflict zone, warning that such breaches could undermine the spirit of the peace process.
The Prime Minister appealed to all parties to demonstrate patience and responsibility, stressing that the agreed two-week ceasefire must be fully respected. He noted that if the ceasefire holds, it would provide an opportunity for diplomacy to achieve a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Shehbaz Sharif also urged global stakeholders to support Pakistan’s efforts and highlighted the necessity of advancing the negotiation process to establish lasting peace in the region.
Meanwhile, the prime minister announced that U.S. and Iranian delegations will visit Pakistan on Friday, praising the country’s diplomatic efforts in securing a historic two-week ceasefire.
He expressed hope that the flames of war may be extinguished permanently.
Addressing the cabinet, Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s leadership in de-escalating the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran.
