Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has hailed Pakistan as the peacemaker
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), On social media, Afridi shared a post praising Pakistan's role in the Iran-US ceasefire. Reacting to the ceasefire, he wrote that Islam stands for peace and Pakistan is a champion of peace. Shahid Afridi also raised the slogan “Long Live Pakistan” in his statement.

It is pertinent to note that US President Donald Trump accepted a two-week ceasefire request made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Earlier, Islamabad United owner Ali Naqvi had praised Pakistan for its role in promoting global peace.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Naqvi said that Pakistan should take pride in its contribution to international stability. Regarding the absence of spectators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Naqvi expressed that there was no disappointment among fans. He said that the decision to restrict audiences was made in the national interest.
