Intermittent rain continued across various parts of the country on Tuesday, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting heavy downpours and hail at some locations.
According to the PMD, intermittent rain is expected throughout the day in Islamabad, with heavy falls likely at isolated places. Rain is also expected in Murree, the Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Sargodha.
Mianwali, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Khushab are also likely to receive rain, while intermittent showers have been forecast for Gujrat, Gujranwala and Hafizabad. Rain is further expected in Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Pakpattan, Okara and Kasur.
Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Kot Addu and Bahawalpur are also likely to receive rainfall, while Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan and Muzaffargarh remain under a similar forecast.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain continued in several districts including Peshawar. Thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain led to a drop in temperatures, while dozens of PESCO feeders tripped due to the severe weather.
The PMD has forecast further rain during the next 24 hours, with the spell likely to persist until April 9.
