Senator and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah said on Monday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to reach out to opposition leadership, including PTI, later this week.
Speaking in Samaa TV’s programme 'Nadeem Malik Live', Rana Sanaullah said the prime minister will contact opposition leaders in the coming days. He confirmed that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership will also be approached as part of this process.
He added that the PTI parliamentary group is expected to be included in the outreach, indicating a broader engagement strategy.
Rana Sanaullah revealed that Sohail Afridi recently met the prime minister, where political matters were discussed. He said the premier had earlier advised all sides to continue their own politics within constitutional limits.
According to him, the prime minister told Afridi, “We both have oath requirements, and we should fulfill them,” stressing the importance of constitutional responsibilities.
The adviser noted that Sohail Afridi showed cooperation during the meeting and is actively working within his province. The interaction was described as constructive, reflecting a willingness to engage on governance matters.
