Multan Sultans outfoxed Quetta Gladiators in a one-sided contest in the 13th match of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Sunday.
Quetta Gladiators posted 166 for seven in their allotted 20 overs. Saud Shakeel led the scoring with 56 off 41 balls, while Bevon Jacobs remained unbeaten on 49. Mohammad Nawaz delivered a decisive spell, claiming three wickets for 30 runs, while Arafat Minhas took two for 14.
In reply, Multan Sultans reached the target with ease, making 167 for four in 17.3 overs. Steven Smith struck 53 off 35 balls, and Shan Masood remained unbeaten on 46 to guide the chase. Sahibzada Farhan provided early impetus with a brisk 32.
Multan’s controlled bowling and fluent batting secured a comfortable victory. Mohammad Nawaz was named player of the match for his three-wicket haul.
