Rain is expected in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad till April 9 (Sunday).
After four days of intermittent rain, bright sunshine prevailed throughout the day in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and the sky remained completely clear. However, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) stated that a fresh weather system bringing rain will enter the country from tomorrow, resulting in further rainfall in the twin cities till April 9.
Rain and hailstorms are also expected in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a flood alert for certain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Meteorological Department, westerly winds will begin to enter the country from this evening. Rain is forecast in Islamabad and other regions till April 9.
The NDMA has also issued a nationwide alert regarding the weather situation, warning that flood-like conditions may arise in some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. District administrations have been directed to make arrangements to deal with any emergency.
