Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will travel to Washington, DC next week to attend the annual spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, scheduled from April 13 to 18.
During the visit, the finance minister is expected to hold key meetings with officials from the IMF, World Bank, and other international financial institutions.
Discussions will focus on Pakistan’s economic situation as well as the impact of ongoing tensions and conflict in the Middle East on the global and regional economy.
Muhammad Aurangzeb is also likely to meet with international investors and representatives of global credit rating agencies as part of efforts to strengthen economic ties and improve Pakistan’s financial outlook.
