Rain has been forecast in various parts of the country from today (Tuesday) until March 31, with alerts also issued for windstorms and hail.
According to the NDMA, a system of western winds will affect most regions of the country until March 31. Rain is expected in Islamabad, the Potohar region, and central and southern Punjab on March 25 and 26.
In Punjab, rain accompanied by hail is likely between March 28 and 30. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may also receive heavy rainfall during the same period.
Snowfall has been forecast in mountainous areas, with hail expected at a few locations. From today until March 29, rain and hail alerts have also been issued for Balochistan.
In Sindh, including Karachi, rain and windstorms are likely on March 25 and 26, and again from March 28 to 29.
An NDMA spokesman said rain and wind may damage weak structures, trees and electricity lines.
