China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, has praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in the Middle East, highlighting its role in promoting peace amid rising regional tensions.
Speaking during a media interaction in Islamabad, Ambassador Zaidong commended Pakistan for playing a constructive role in efforts to end the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
He said Pakistan is actively contributing as a positive mediator to help establish lasting peace in the region.
The Chinese envoy criticized what he described as monopolistic behaviour by certain countries. He stressed that such actions are against international laws as well as the principles of the United Nations.

Ambassador Jiang emphasized the need for international institutions to step up their role in the current global situation. He called for urgent and effective action to address ongoing conflicts and ensure stability.
Push for fair global system
Highlighting China’s perspective, the ambassador said a fair global system is the need of the hour. He referred to Chinese President Xi Jinping’s global governance proposal as a framework for achieving balanced and equitable international cooperation.
Jiang Zaidong also underscored the strength of economic ties between China and Pakistan. He noted that bilateral cooperation is sustainable, comprehensive, and spans multiple sectors.
Despite difficult global conditions, the ambassador said both China and Pakistan are continuing on a path of development. He reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and supporting mutual growth.
