Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held telephone calls with Kuwait's Crown Prince Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Sabah and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, during which he stressed the need to resolve differences through dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability in the region.
The prime minister exchanged Eidul Fitr greetings with both leaders on the joyous occasion. In his conversation with the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, he conveyed good wishes for peace, prosperity and the welfare of Kuwait and the wider Islamic world. He condemned the attacks on Kuwait and expressed sorrow over the loss of human lives. The prime minister also invited the crown prince to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his convenience.
In a separate call with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the prime minister extended Eid greetings and discussed the prevailing regional situation.
He expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Oman over the loss of precious lives in attacks in different areas, and underscored the importance of peace, stability and constructive dialogue in the region.
Both leaders reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen the longstanding fraternal ties between Pakistan and Oman. The prime minister also invited the Sultan of Oman to pay an official visit to Pakistan.
