Fasters across Pakistan may receive a refreshing “gift from nature” this Eid, as the Meteorological Department forecasts cool and pleasant weather.
Rain and cloud cover are expected to replace the usual heat, making the festive days more enjoyable.
The Met Department has predicted that this year’s Eid will not only be joyful but also cool and comfortable.
According to officials, rain is expected in several parts of the country, bringing relief from rising temperatures. From Islamabad to Multan, weather conditions are likely to remain pleasant due to rainfall and cloud cover.
Rain expected in multiple regions
Meteorology DG Mehr Sahibzad Khan said that heavy rain is expected in various areas on Eid, particularly in the northern and upper regions.
He highlighted that cities, including Islamabad, Peshawar, Chitral, and Gilgit-Baltistan, are likely to receive rainfall. The wet spell is expected to extend southwards, reaching areas up to Multan.
The rainfall is likely to continue for three to four days, ensuring that temperatures remain moderate and do not rise significantly during Eid.
Relief after mixed Ramazan weather
This year’s Ramazan witnessed varying weather conditions, with periods of heat, cold, and moderate temperatures.
However, unlike previous years, Eid is not expected to be hot, as rain and clouds will dominate the weather pattern. This shift is likely to create a more comfortable environment for celebrations.
Rain likely to continue after Eid
The Met Department has also indicated that the pleasant weather may persist even after Eid.
According to Mehr Sahibzad, the last week of March is also expected to remain rainy, particularly in northern areas and extending towards Lahore. There is a continued possibility of rainfall during these days as well.
In light of the forecast, the Met Department has issued an advisory for the public. Farmers and travelers have been advised to plan their activities carefully, especially harvesting and travel, by keeping the expected weather conditions in mind.
With rain, cloud cover, and moderate temperatures, this Eid is shaping up to be pleasant and refreshing for people across Pakistan. If forecasts hold true, citizens may enjoy not just the festive spirit, but also a welcome break from the heat.
