Pakistan’s armed forces carried out precision airstrikes on military installations in Kabul and Nangarhar on the night of March 16, targeting facilities actively supporting terrorism, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar said.
Speaking to the media, Attaullah Tarar stated that the airstrikes successfully destroyed technical support infrastructure and weapons storage facilities at two locations in Kabul.
He highlighted that the explosions observed after the attacks clearly indicated the presence of large explosives stockpiles.
In Nangarhar, the Pakistan Army targeted four military installations linked to the Taliban, destroying associated logistics hubs, ammunition depots, and technical infrastructure.
Pakistan denounces Taliban claims
The federal minister rejected claims by Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid that a drug hospital was targeted, calling the statement “ridiculous.”
He emphasized that the facilities were being used to support multiple terrorist groups and that the false narratives from the Taliban cannot mislead the Afghan people or the international community.
Operation Ghazab Lil Haq to continue
Atta Tarar reaffirmed that operations under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq will continue until all objectives are achieved. He described the strikes as part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to curb terrorism and prevent cross-border threats emanating from Taliban-controlled areas.
Security sources also confirmed the scale of the attacks, noting that footage from Kabul showed large flames from secondary detonations, further proving the presence of significant weapons stockpiles.
