Five Indian-backed terrorists were killed during a successful operation by security forces against Fitna al-Khawarij in Lakki Marwat.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat district after receiving information about the presence of Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij militants. Troops of the Pakistan Army effectively targeted the hideout of the militants.
The military spokesman said five terrorists were brought to their logical end in a fierce exchange of fire. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the slain Indian-backed terrorists. The militants killed had been involved in several acts of sabotage in the area.
ISPR said the counter-terrorism campaign would continue with full force under the Vision Azm-e-Istehkam. Security forces remain determined to ensure the elimination of terrorism carried out under foreign patronage.
