Ongoing regional tensions have disrupted the supply of jet fuel in Pakistan, prompting the Pakistan Airports Authority to issue a NOTAM directing all airlines to operate flights with minimum fuel reserves.
The measure will remain in effect until March 31.
The NOTAM highlights that A1 jet fuel supplies have been impacted, affecting flight operations across Pakistan.
Local airlines have been instructed to use minimum required fuel for domestic and international flights while ensuring operational safety.
In addition, airlines are advised to procure maximum fuel supplies from abroad to mitigate shortages and maintain uninterrupted services.
Guidance for airlines and passengers
The Pakistan Airports Authority emphasized that the directive is temporary, effective until March 31, and aims to manage fuel resources efficiently amid uncertainty in the region.
Passengers flying during this period are advised to check with their airlines for any potential delays or changes in flight schedules.
