Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Saudi Arabia on a brief official visit as the war in the Middle East sees no signs of de-escalation.
He is set to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The meeting is expected to focus on regional security, current geopolitical developments, and strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Sharif was welcomed at Jeddah Airport by Prince Saud bin Mishal, Deputy Governor of Makkah, and Pakistani Ambassador to Riyadh Ahmed Farooq. The prime minister’s stay in Saudi Arabia is limited to a few hours, during which the leaders will hold detailed discussions on key regional and international issues.
Following the visit, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to return to Pakistan. Officials say the trip underscores Pakistan’s active role in regional diplomacy and its commitment to maintaining strong ties with Saudi Arabia.
