US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States would respond with “20 times more severe” force if Iran attempts to block the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
Trump said that in such a scenario, the US would target Iran so decisively that the country would be unable to recover. “There would be death, fire, and wrath across Iran,” he said, adding, “I pray that it does not come to that.”
The president described the strait as a lifeline for countries like China and others, calling any obstruction a gift to global shipping if used responsibly. He expressed hope that nations would view the route’s continued accessibility with appreciation.
Taking an extremely tough stance, Trump also claimed that any new leadership emerging in Iran had been neutralized and warned that future leaders would face similar consequences. He asserted that the United States, in coordination with Israel, has already inflicted significant damage on Iran’s military capabilities.
Trump’s comments underscore the growing tensions in the region and signal a hardline US posture in response to any potential Iranian escalation.
