Police arrested 11 women and three men, including Farzana Bari, after an attempt to stage the Aurat March in Islamabad without permission.
The march had been announced from Sector F-6 to D-Chowk in the federal capital. As participants began to gather, police also reached the spot and detained organisers of the Aurat March along with other participants.
Those taken into custody include eleven women and three men, among them Farzana Bari.
According to the district administration, no NOC had been issued for the Aurat March, while Section 144 remains in force in the city.
