The West Indies and South Africa teams have yet to return to their respective countries, according to a cricket website.
Both teams are expected to depart on March 10, the cricket website reported. Travel schedules of several teams have been disrupted due to the war-like situation in the Middle East, the cricket website said.
The West Indies and South Africa teams will leave Kolkata on the morning of 10 March, according to the cricket website.
Both teams will travel to Johannesburg via chartered flights, the cricket website added.
The West Indies team will continue its journey from Johannesburg to Antigua, the cricket website stated.
Three South African players – Keshav Maharaj, Jason Smith, and George Linde – will depart for New Zealand today, the cricket website reported.
South Africa will play five T20 matches against New Zealand starting from 15 March, the cricket website said.
West Indies coach Daren Sammy expressed his displeasure over the delay on social media, according to the cricket website.
South African players Quinton de Kock and David Miller also reacted strongly to the postponement, the cricket website reported.
The West Indies team has been in Kolkata since 1 March following a defeat against India, the cricket website said.
The South African team has been in India since 4 March after losing to New Zealand in the semi-final, the cricket website reported.
The England team departed from Mumbai to London on Saturday evening, the cricket website added.
