Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi has named fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah as India’s trump card against New Zealand in today’s Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Speaking on the Samaa TV programme 'Zor Ka Jor', Afridi said Indian players are playing in front of their own crowd and in familiar conditions, which has a major effect. He added the pressure of the crowd makes a significant difference and described the crowd as almost like the team’s twelfth player.
Afridi said that New Zealand’s players are very experienced and it will be interesting to see who performs better under pressure.
"If India wants to put pressure on the opponents, they will need to use a new ball through Bumrah and attack the top-order batsmen," he said.
