Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with United Arab Emirates' Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which he voiced concern over the recent attacks in the Gulf countries.
Dar also conveyed solidarity with the people of the brotherly Islamic country. According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, the two leaders discussed the changing regional situation and underlined the importance of peace and stability. Dar expressed concern over the recent attacks in the UAE and elsewhere in the region and assured that the government and people of Pakistan stand with their Emirati brothers and sisters.
The deputy prime minister also spoke by telephone with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss recent developments in the region. Both sides agreed to remain in contact in view of the evolving situation.
Dar also held a telephonic conversation with GCC's Secretary General Jassim al Budaiwi. The two leaders discussed the prevailing regional situation and stressed the need to reduce ongoing tensions.
They also agreed to continue cooperation for regional peace and stability.
