The United States may use some of its most powerful non-nuclear weapons in a potential strike on Iran, with President Donald Trump warning that the “big wave has not even happened.”
U.S. bombers are reportedly being deployed to British bases with London’s approval.
According to the Daily Mail, U.S. Air Force stealth bombers—including B1s, B-2s, and B-52s—are being positioned at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and Diego Garcia in the Chagos Islands.
These bombers are capable of carrying highly destructive payloads while remaining undetected. Their deployment follows U.K. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s decision to allow U.S. forces to use British bases for collective defense amid escalating conflict in Iran.
Potential use of MOAB
Experts suggest the U.S. could use the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), also called the “mother of all bombs,” against Iran. This 21,000-pound conventional explosive can destroy underground tunnels, bunkers, and missile launch sites, leaving a 1,000-foot-wide crater.
While President Trump has referred to the operation as a “big one,” there has been no official confirmation from U.S. authorities regarding the actual deployment of the MOAB.
Context
The warning comes a week after U.S. and Israeli military strikes killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. President Trump emphasized that these actions are only the beginning, stating, “We have not even started hitting them hard. The big wave has not even happened.”
The conflict has drawn in multiple nations, with Israel and U.S. allies monitoring the region closely. The potential use of massive conventional bombs underscores the intensifying threat level in the ongoing Iran war.
