China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has held a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart during which the two men discussed the situation in the Middle East.
According to Chinese media, Beijing opposes attacks on Iran and supports diplomacy for the resolution of the dispute.
It has called for an immediate halt to military operations against Iran and stressed that the conflict must be prevented from spreading further and getting out of control.
