Diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Iran have been suspended, according to Arab media reports.
The UAE announced the closure of its embassy in Tehran and recalled its ambassador from Iran, citing recent Iranian attacks on Emirati territory.
The development follows earlier reports that Iranian strikes in the UAE killed three people — including one citizen each from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal - and left 58 others with minor injuries, among them Emirati nationals and foreign residents.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Defense said its forces had responded to 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 541 Iranian drones. Of these, 311 drones were neutralized, while 21 reached civilian areas. Eight missiles fell into the sea, and two cruise missiles were intercepted and destroyed.
