The final of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League is likely to take place at a neutral venue outside Pakistan, sources said.
According to sources, an important discussion on the final took place during a meeting between PSL management and franchise representatives.
Management informed the franchises that the league enjoys popularity across the world and overseas Pakistanis wish to see the PSL staged closer to them, sources added.
Sources said the management is considering holding the final outside Pakistan and has discussed the proposal with franchise owners.
England, Dubai and the United States are under consideration as potential venues for the final, sources said.
The United States and England are regarded as strong contenders to host the PSL final, according to sources.
Franchises will hold consultations regarding the prospect of playing the final abroad before reaching a decision, sources added.
The 11th season of the Pakistan Super League is scheduled to commence on 26 March.
