Earthquake tremors jolted Islamabad and several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
According to the Seismological Centre, the quake measured 5.6 on the Richter scale. The epicentre lay in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, while the depth was recorded at 114 kilometres.
Tremors were felt in various areas of Islamabad and across many districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In Attock city and its surrounding areas, residents reported shaking. Tremors were also felt in Jamrud.
In Dir and adjoining areas, the quake was experienced by residents. In Khyber district, Landi Kotal and its suburbs also reported tremors.
Swat and nearby localities likewise felt the impact of the earthquake.
