Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set for a series of important engagements in Doha today, including meetings with Qatar’s top leadership aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations.
The visit underscores growing cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar in trade, defense, and investment.
During his busy day in Doha, the premier will meet the emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The high-level talks are expected to focus on enhancing diplomatic, economic, and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
Talks with Qatari PM
Prime Minister Sharif will also meet Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. Both sides will hold discussions on further strengthening bilateral relations and expanding collaboration in key sectors.
The Qatari premier will also host an Iftar dinner in honour of Prime Minister Sharif and his delegation, reflecting the warm ties between the two nations.
In addition to meetings with the emir and prime minister, Shehbaz is expected to meet Qatar’s deputy prime minister. He will also hold talks with the ministers of state for defense affairs and trade, focusing on defense cooperation and trade expansion.
Investment opportunities
A delegation from the Qatar Businessmen Association is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The meeting is expected to explore investment prospects and trade opportunities, as Pakistan seeks to attract greater foreign direct investment and strengthen economic partnerships.
