The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) marked a dignified presence at the World Defence Show 2026 in Saudi Arabia, showcasing future-ready defence preparedness and operational skills.
At the exhibition, the JF-17 Thunder Block III multi-role fighter aircraft and the Super Mushshak trainer aircraft drew significant attention for their proven capabilities, including the ability to engage targets beyond visual range and operate in modern combat environments.
Pakistan’s participation in the show reflects the country’s growing strength in aerospace innovation and operational competence. The World Defence Show serves as a key platform for the exchange of future warfare concepts, experiences, expertise and defence services.
Held in the brotherly Islamic country of Saudi Arabia, the event prominently featured Pakistan’s national flag, highlighting the presence of the Pakistan Air Force’s battle-ready and professional air warriors.
The JF-17 Thunder Block III, a 4.5-generation fighter jet, is equipped with an advanced AESA radar, modern avionics and an electronic warfare system, enabling it to meet contemporary aerial combat requirements effectively.
Alongside the fighter aircraft, the Super Mushshak basic trainer aircraft was also displayed. The aircraft represents the Pakistan Air Force’s excellence in pilot training and engineering design. Owing to its low operating cost, ease of maintenance and reliable performance, the Super Mushshak is widely used by several friendly countries for basic flying training.
The World Defence Show remains an important global forum for showcasing defence technology and facilitating cooperation in future combat scenarios.
